Our Breakthrough Learn to Run programs are ideal for all fitness levels. 

The 0 – 5K program is perfect if you are just getting started or want to improve your 5K time. The 5 – 10K program takes it to the next level, coaching on both distance and technique. Finally the 10 – 21.1K program is geared towards those looking to successfully complete a 1/2 marathon AND feel good at the finish line. 

It is time to go all in on yourself.

Breakthrough 0 - 5K

So you are ready to get moving. The 0 – 5K program pairs you with one of our professional run coaches and over the course of 12 weeks you will progress to being able to run a 5K distance confidently.

Your 0-5K, 12 week program, consists of 3 runs a week. With a focus of building endurance and speed in a systematic way to prevent burnout and injury. You also get a runner specific stretch series in your program to help with rest and recovery.

Weekly videos are also included in your program to help with form running technique.

Daily Training
Our daily run training are completely scalable, no matter where you are starting. You can do all the activities from ANYWHERE. No equipment needed.

Video Demonstrations
Every single movement has a video demonstration so that you know how to complete each movement correctly. It’s a simple tap inside the app, you will never struggle trying to figure out a workout again.

You will be paired with one of our professional run coaches. Your coach is there to support you in making lasting changes, and they will help push you when you really need it. Your coach is available to you inside of the XLR40 App with 2 way messaging. 

The entire 0 – 5 km program is facilitated through the XLR40 APP. You can do this program anywhere AND reach out to your coach anytime. We are dedicated to your results.

At the end of the 12 weeks you will be invited to complete your first 5K race inside of our Strava group.

Breakthrough 5 - 10K

You can confidently complete a 5K and are ready to take it to the next level. The 5 – 10K program pairs you with one of our professional run coaches focused on taking you confidently from 5 to 10K over 12 weeks. 

Your 5-10K, 12 week program, consists of 4 runs a week. This program starts with the assumption that participants can run 30 mins straight, your speed does not matter. Because variety is the spice of life, your program will include timed runs, distance runs, fartleks, progression runs, hills, and intervals.

Also included is a runner specific stretch series.

Our daily run training are completely scalable, no matter what your starting 5K times are. You can do all the activities from ANYWHERE. No equipment needed.

At the end of the 12 weeks you will be invited to complete a 10K time trial inside of our Strava group.

Breakthrough 10 - 21.1K

You are ready for the 1/2 Marathon. The 10 – 21.1K program pairs you with one of our professional run coaches that will be working on you with technique, strategies and pacing techniques over the course of 16 weeks.

Your 10 – 21.1K program, consists of 4 to 5 runs per week. It is assumes you can run 10K for this program.

This program is designed to help you increase your distance strength and speed in a systematic way to prevent injury. Your program includes timed runs, distance runs, fartleks, progression runs, hills, and intervals. Also included is a runner specific stretch series.

Also included in your program is the purpose of each type of run so you know why we are getting you to do it and the benefits you will be gaining.

Your coach is available to you inside of the XLR40 App with 2 way messaging and will be giving you some important tips and strategies as you work towards the 1/2 marathon distance.

The entire 10 – 21.1K program is facilitated through the XLR40 APP. You can do this program anywhere AND reach out to your coach anytime. We are dedicated to your results.

At the end of the 16 weeks you will be invited to complete a 21.1K Time Trial inside of our Strava group. Following the time trial you will be given a taper program to use before races.

FAQ

Do I need any equipment?

Breakthrough Learn to Run does not require any equipment, except properly fitting running shoes. If you are participating in our one on one coaching we may ask you to purchase a few small items.

WHAT IF I MISS A WORKOUT?

We don’t recommend it, our 90 day program is strategically programmed to move you forward. Each day builds on the one before, both run days, workout days, stretching days and rest days are important.  You will get out of the program what you put into it.

what if i don't know how to do a workout?

All of the workouts have video demonstrations that perfectly explain how to complete each movement. If you need to scale a workout or you are still confused about anything, you can direct message your coach inside of the APP.

can i get individual training?

You sure can. If you feel like you need a more personalized experience, we can set you up with one of our coaches. Each participant is paired with a coach based on their goals, habits and personality. We do an initial consultation to determine who to best pair you with. You can request a consultation here.

i am beginner is this for me?

ABSOLUTELY! We recommend the 0 – 5K program if you are starting out. Breakthrough Learn to Run is designed to help you not just get started, but to help you actually become that runner you have always wanted to be.
